Nanjing (Nanking) Massacre (a.k.a. The Rape of Nanjing/Nanking)

Six weeks at the end of 1937 and beginning of 1938

Victims: Occupants of Chinese City of Nanjing (Nanking)

Approx. 250-300 thousand out of 600 thousand (approx 50%) of the city's population was exterminated. At least 20,000 Chinese women were brutally gang-raped and killed.
